Is Dino Merlin coming to Dubrovnik for New Year?

As DuList reports on the 13th of September, 2017, is has emerged that Dubrovnik will ring in the New Year with Dino Merlin.

Dubrovnik’s Mayor Mato Franković has announced that Stradun will be a ”regional star” and although the information surrounding Dino Merlin remains currently unofficial, a press conference was announced on Thursday, where Dubrovnik Mayor Mato Franković, Deputy Mayor Jelka Tepšić and Director of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Ivan Medo Bogdanović, will present the concept of this year’s Dubrovnik Winter Festival and the program for seeing in the New Year to the media.

The Dubrovnik Winter Festival project is a project of the City of Dubrovnik, public cultural institutions, the Tourist Board of Dubrovnik and public companies, which, for the festive season of both Advent and the run up to the New Year, will hold festive, cultural entertainment with an undoubtedly rich program as is done annually.

Otherwise, Dino Merlin (Edin Dervišhalidović) was born in Sarajevo and is one of the most commercially successful Bosnian singers, song-writers and producers, he is popular in other countries that once made up Yugoslavia.
He founded the band ”Merlin” back in 1983 and has been its singer/song-writer ever since, he has recorded five studio albums with the band and following the beginning of his solo career which began in 1991, he has recorded a further six studio albums.
