The famous French street-art artist Étien visited Zagreb once again to mark the celebrated event “White Night” (Nuit Blanche) that took place on Saturday, October 1. In addition to helping mark the annual artistic event, Étien also left his mark in Zagreb by painting a stunning 3-D mural of a sea turtle on plateau Gradec.

Last year, Étien also delighted visitors at “White Night” with the now famous, large and spectacular mural depicting a whale on the move. Étien’s whale mural gave new life to a building in Zagreb, a building that was never fully accepted by Zagreb residents, but is now loved by locals. Today, the mural has become a living part of the city, a landmark charted on most Zagreb maps as a “must-see” location – a sight you should not miss. We can only assume the new sea turtle mural will follow the same fate, instantly becoming an art attraction with the same fame in Zagreb.

In addition to Étien’s masterpiece, “White Night” boasted an extremely attractive array of rich cultural content. Visitors enjoyed artistic creations throughout as many as 18 locations, spectacular ballet performances, and plenty of magical experiences for all ages.
We can definitely consider the second edition of “White Night” an all around success – we now look forward to the next year of artistic creations!
