Split this year will feature 28 Advent cottages for the new holiday event ‘Winter Watercolors’. The competition is now open for offers until November 9th.
The day after Split, Spalatum DMC and the Split Tourist Board announced the brand new program “Winter Watercolors”, a call for tenders was announced on Tuesday. Winter Watercolors will last from December 1, 2018, to January 7, 2019, reports Dalmacija Danas on October 30, 2018.
The contest is open until November 9, and the organizers announced that no later than three days after the end of the competition, the chosen offers will be announced.
Here are the prices for the famous Christmas cottages, listed without VAT. The main criterion is the best price and proper documentation is implied.
Split is offering a variety of cottages for caterers
For cottages that involve simple catering, including fritule, pancakes, uštipak, and the like, begin at a rental price of 23,500 kuna.
For those intended solely for the display and sale of products and services, the starting price is 17,600 kuna.
For full catering, the starting rental price is 40,000, 45,000 and 50,000 kuna, depending on the location on the Riva. At Đardin, the starting rental price is 10,000 kuna, and at Gaje Bulata Square – 7,000 kuna.
At Kralja Tomislava Street, offers are given for the entire zone containing two parts, and the minimum price is 3,000 kuna.
At Prokurative where there will be children’s entertainment, wagons, and the train, the starting price is also 3,000 kuna.
The working hours on the Riva, Prokurative and Kralja Tomislava Street are from 9 am to midnight, except for New Year’s Eve, when the cottages will work until 3 am The music program, regardless of the working hours, will run no later than 11 pm on business days, and no later than 11:30 pm on Friday and Saturday. The daily schedule of events for Đardin and Gaje Bulata Square is from 9 am to 9 pm.

This year’s event will have 28 Christmas cottages in the following locations: Riva (8 shops and 12 catering cottages); Đardin (2 shops, 2 catering cottages); Trg Gaje Bulata (4 shops); and Prokurative (children’s toys and the train). Kralja Tomislava Street will be divided into two zones (in front of the Art Gallery and in front of the old post office), which have also been made available to the concessionaire as a part of the Public Call.
