Total Croatia News

ZAGREB, May 10, 2018 – The Croatian National Bank (HNB) intervened on the foreign exchange market on Thursday by purchasing 320.5 million euro from commercial banks to prevent appreciation pressure on the domestic currency, the kuna.

The central bank thus injected 2.37 billion kuna into the system, buying the euro at an average exchange rate of 7.397618 kuna for one euro.

This has been the second intervention by the HNB so far this year.

The first intervention, also aimed at lessening the appreciation pressure on the kuna, was conducted on 4 January.
