Klara’s decision indicates positive market changes and updates.

As Ana Maria Filipovic Grcic/Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 24th of May, 2018, the popular Zagreb bakery Klara, a company with a 110-year-long baking tradition is opening the very first premium bakery today in Zagreb.

Klara’s breakthrough in this high segment of supply comes as a result of promising recovery and ever-better business results, based on last year’s sales revenue, which exceeded 357 million kuna, an increase of 10 percent compared to 2016, accompanied by gains exceeding more than 4 million kuna.

“Klara has about 650 employees in its 23 already existing bakeries, and Klara’s premium outlet, which will be officially opened this Thursday in Zrinjevac, will officially begin working on Friday and will employ another 10 people. The next premium store should open in two months in Velika Gorica, with the intention of further expansion. The new concept has been modelled on Western countries, for example, London, where we can find bars like those we’re opening in Zagreb. With the premium store, the offer will be a combination of standard and traditional bakery products on the ground floor, and a new range of Klara ”green line” products that will be on the top floor.

Foodstuffs come from Croatian OPGs and thus provide a small sales channel to our small producers, and we guarantee quality and organic origin to our customers. This is an offer that includes smoothies, salads, seeds and other different healthy combinations of fresh foods, as well as soup – all seasoned for fruit and vegetables. We believe that we will provide that Klara barkeries are keeping up with the 21st century,” stated Klara for Poslovni Dnevnik

A breath of fresh air will be offered for Celiac disease sufferers in the very first range of new products, as Klara will finally include gluten-free products, which comes as a consequence of our changing diets and habits, as well as changes in raw material quality awareness, which, they say, will systematically follow this range.

“In the premium segment, we’re cooperating with Lejla Kažinić Kreho, one of the best nutritionists in Croatia and the region, and our employees will also be well prepared and familiar with the foods and meals that will be available within our company”, added the well-known Zagreb company.

In addition, varied seasonal products will be on the table, so during the Christmas holidays and the Advent period, the already wide new range will be enriched even more.
