The Klis Municipality in Dalmatia has taken the initiative and provided the complete infrastructure for potential investors, and on the same plot, it has been made possible to build additional ten villas as well as the hotel itself.
As Marija Crnjak/Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 14th of September, 2018, in the Klis Municipality, it was decided to initiate a hotel construction project to attract potential investors. At a press conference, Klis’s Jakov Vetma, explained just why this unusual and bold step was decided upon.
“The Klis Municipality has decided not to wait for investors to come knocking at our doors, but instead, we’ve designed an attractive project ourselves and provided an even more attractive terrain that we will offer to them [potential investors] for investment.
In cooperation with architects, we’ve developed a project for the construction of a cascade hotel that will fit into the surrounding environment and follow the layout of our fortress with its ground plan. This project will not only bring added value to Klis and provide facilities for new visitors, but by the time it comes to its end, it will open up at least 60 new jobs for Klis locals. The Klis Municipality has provided the complete infrastructure for potential investors near the site, and on the same plot, it’s possible to build additional ten villas next to the hotel itself,” said Vetma.
Vetma presented the conceptual solution of a future hotel that should take shape on a plot of 20,000 square metres, just 400 metres from the historic Klis Fortress. He revealed that he plans to announce a public auction for the sale of the real estate for the construction of hotels and villas in a month, with accurately specified conditions of construction. All the required documentation has also been properly prepared.
Such a construction, in a cascade design, will allow visitors to have their own green terraces for each room and the connection of the inner space with the outside, with the exception of the green terraces, there will also be connections to infinity pools.
The hotel, along with the basement and garage section, will have four floors with a total capacity of as many as 93 rooms and six suites. All will be located in a way which has an open view of the sea and the whole area of Klis, Solin, and Split. The project also includes the inclusion of an inside, indoor swimming pool within a spa area.
In addition to the three planned outdoor swimming pools, it will possible to place individual pools on the room terraces, should a potential serious investor want that.
