Rimac’s incredible Concept Two is as exclusive as it is impressive.

The designer from Sveta Nedelja has developed the first commercial car with level 4 autonomy.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 6th of March, 2018, and as we reported, Mate Rimac presented the ”iPhone of the world of electric cars” in Geneva on Tuesday. The Conception One’s successor is not only the most powerful (1914 horsepower) and one of the fastest serial cars in the world (412 km/h), it’s also the first car on sale that supports autonomous level 4 driving.

The Croatian car maker started compete in the bid category launched last year by Alphabet’s (Google) smart car Waymo, which also reached the same level 4 (out of 5) but is not on sale. The founder and CEO of Rimac Automobili stressed that the amazing Concept Two is a completely new car which is fully and entirely developed right here in the Republic of Croatia.

“We’ve made the Concept Two from the very beginning. We’ve not taken anything from the Concept One. Nothing was purchased and simply embedded into it. We developed it all from scratch and I’m proud to make such cars near Zagreb in Croatia,” stated Mate Rimac.

The Concept Two is sold at a price of 1.7 million euro, which is 12.7 million kuna. Rimac plans to sell 150 of them, which accounts for more than a quarter of a billion euro.

“I’m happy to be able to help the industry that was previously known for not changing much, and today the technologies developed by Rimac cars are under the bonnets of many models you can see here at this year’s Geneva Motor Show,” Rimac said.

The incredible Concept Two, aside from being packed with exclusive performance such as the best acceleration for any road vehicle from 0 to 100km/h in just 1.9 seconds, it also boasts some very practical perks, such as the car door opening when the side camera detects the driver.

In yet further business success, Rimac has received about 40 million euro in investments so far.
