“As I have said in many of my public statements since 2017, this indictment against me, my family and my associates, which has been withdrawn today, has nothing to do with reality and the actual state of affairs. By withdrawing the indictment, the Prosecutor’s Office is trying to avoid the exposure of criminal actions by the interim management of Agrokor, the so-called Borg group, KPMG Croatia d.o.o. and some persons from the Zagreb County Prosecutor’s Office and the State Prosecutor’s Office, which would lead to the immediate dismissal of Chief State Prosecutor Zlata Hrvoj-Šipek and several of her deputies, as well as the resignation of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, the once most powerful Croatian businessman said.
