Their new Family Life Bellevue Resort in Rabac, worth 196 million kuna will open in 2017

One of Croatia’s largest hotel groups Valamar Hotels and Resorts is also one of the largest investors in Croatian tourism, and on March 17, 2016, they announced that they are planning to invest 196 million kunas in their new resort in Rabac. Valamar Hotels and Resorts have hotels, campsites and apartment villages in Poreč, Rabac, Krk and Dubrovnik and their new Family Life Bellevue Resort in Rabac should be completed by summer 2017.

Valamar also announced that their board has given the green light to sign a three-year contract with the leading global tour companies TUI Northern Europe, TUI UK and TUI Nordic Holding, and Family Life Bellevue Resort in Rabac will become the very first TUI Family Life hotel in Croatia. Valamar will become the second hotel company in Croatia, after Karisma, to operate under one of TUI’s leading hotel brands (Karisma’s hotels in Makarska operate under the Sensimar Adults only brand. “New investments will raise the quality and volume of accommodation units up to a 4* level, create numerous new water, family, F&B and sports facilities” Valamar management states. They did not want to give us any more details about their cooperation with TUI stating that they will reveal all the information once the contract is signed. They intend to invest 430 million kuna in Rabac with the goal of repositioning their existing hotel portfolio to 4* and creating high class added value.
