August 8, 2023 – Floods in Croatia: according to the DHMZ hydrological report, the water levels of the Sava River in the upper reaches are decreasing, while the water levels in the downstream part are slightly increasing. The water levels of the Mura river are decreasing, so the amount flowing into the Drava is reduced. However, considering the extremely high water levels of the Drava and the tendency for the water level to rise further, it is necessary to monitor the forecasts and the development of the situation on the ground.

Index brings a detailed overview and minute-by-minute updates on the situation. Here is the current state of events.

State of emergency: Drava – Botovo; Mura – Goričan

Extraordinary measures: Drava – Novo Virje Skela; Mura – Mursko Center; Retention of Žutica – CS Rožec
