Sunglasses from Croatia are sold around the world.
Many global stars have been impressed by Mauro Massarotto’s sunglasses brand Sheriff&Cherry, including Rihanna, Keira Knightley, Beyonce, Frank Ocean and Neneh Cherry. His business results and new collections are another proof of his tremendous success, reports Jutarnji List on April 23, 2016.
After he did the media presentation last week for his 2017 collection in London and New York, he recently opened his temporary Pop Up Store in Zagreb, where the Croatian audience will for the first time see the latest collection of this extremely successful Croatian brand. Masarotto’s success, from the financial aspect, amounted to 2,7 million kuna in 2014. In 2010, his revenues were 220,000 kuna, which means that his sunglasses business has grown 10 times.
The opening of the store was attended by many popular guests, and everyone was amazed with the Ibiza model, which was dubbed “maska”. Maska was recently featured in the Australian Vogue magazine, worn by model Lara Stone. Besides Zagreb, this “hot” model of sunglasses is being sold in New York and Hong Kong. These popular glasses are bringing a respectable sum to Massarotto. Last year, they earned him 413,000 kuna, and a year before 891,000 kuna. In five years, from 2010 to the end of 2014, he earned 1,5 million kuna.
Massarotto has invited to the Zagreb opening the models from the global campaigns that have been launched so far. He is known for choosing “people from the street” to promote his sunglasses, and these are mostly people from Croatia.
Masarotto, 39, has had made his first steps in fashion 15 years ago. He created Sheriff&Cherry a few years ago, and soon after many global stars have gone crazy for them. The designer is also a good friend with some of them. Before he started his sunglasses business, Massarotto had brought the old glory back to the “Startas” shoes from Borovo.
