ZAGREB, May 22, 2018 – Croatian Defence Minister Damir Krstičević on Monday held a lecture on Croatia’s national security strategy at Rider University in Lawrenceville, USA, which is the first time Croatia’s homeland security system was presented in the United States, the Defence Ministry said in a statement.
Krstičević began his official visit to the U.S. by presenting the National Security Strategy and the concept of Croatia’s homeland security system to students, members of the U.S. Army and guests at Rider University.
Attending the lecture were, among others, Rider University President Gregory Dell’Omo and Dean Boris Vilic, with whom Krsticevic held a meeting, as well as Rider University professors and students.
Dell’Omo and Vilic congratulated Boris Vilić on his induction to the U.S. Army War College International Fellows Hall of Fame on May 22. Boris Vilić graduated from the U.S. Army War College in 1998. So far 11 Croatian officers have graduated from the U.S. Army War College.
Rider University has a 150-year-long tradition of veteran education and it also admits members of the U.S. Army members’ families.
