Farmers Will be Able to Claim Damages From This Years Fires and Droughts

All claims to be financed from EU funds

Agriculture minister Tihomir Jakovina announced today that farmers will be able to claim damages from this year’s devastating fires and drought.

Official tender will be opened from August 31st until the end of October,

All approved claims will be covered by money from the EU funds.

As Jakovina stated in today’s government cabinet assembly, first the county administration offices and committees will have to determine the exact extent of damages before the tender can be published.

Jakovina also added „There are certain rules and regulations that must be followed by all EU farmers, including Croatian ones when it comes to this particular measure and they relate to perennial crops, farm machinery, objects and equipment while annual crops are not covered by this measure“
