July 19, 2023 – Similar to the air temperature, the sea temperature increases yearly. The average sea temperature in Croatia has been getting higher and higher as well.
As 24Sata writes, the reason for this is, of course, climate change. It caused the average air temperature to increase, which has in turn impacted the Adriatic sea as well. The sea temperature in Croatia is influenced by the hours of sunshine, which has been quite high ever since the beginning of the summer. It is further influenced by the reduced amount of precipitation and the reduced amount of wind which would mix the warm surface of the sea with the deep cold sea.
