Croatia’s Water Polo Team Bounces Back with 20-5 Win Against France

This result secured 2nd place in Group B for the Croatian national Water polo team

At the European Water polo championship currently taking place in Belgrade, Croatia recovered from a 13:6 loss to Serbia in the first game. On January 12, 2016, the Croatian national team, lead by coach Ivica Tucak has beaten France in the second round of group B by a score of 20:5 (7-0, 1-1, 8-2, 4-2).

This win secures the 2nd place for Croatia in Group B. Croatia’s best players were Maro Joković (4 goals), Sandro Sukno and Antonio Petković (3 goals each). Damir Burić, Ante Vukičević, Boris Pavlović and Andro Bušlje scored 2 and Anđelo Šetka and Luka Bukić added one goal each to the final score.

Croatia’s last game in Group stage is on January 14, 2016, against Malta.
