NK Osijek has presented the public with the vision of their future stadium, and we have to admit… it’s looking pretty good.

The day after their big win against Dinamo at Maksimir (0:1), even more good news has come from the Osijek camp. Precisely, the club has finally released the entire vision of their brand new stadium after teasing the curiosity of their fans over the last few days, reports Index.hr on April 19, 2018.

The new club owners, club president Ivan Meštrović and investors from Hungary recently announced the construction of the new stadium, which is something the Croatian First League has never seen before.

The new stadium should hold around 12,000 spectators, and it will be the first completely covered football stadium in Croatia. The stadium will also offer unrivaled comfort, and games can be followed from beds, saunas or jacuzzis – and no, we are not joking.

“We will invest 35 to 40 million euro in the camp and the new stadium,” said President Ivan Meštrović, before adding:

“I will personally participate in the formation of the stadium as a co-author. Because of our social sensitivity, we will not leave City Garden either. We hope that it will host the second league games and our B team. The capacity of the new facility will be 12,000 seats, which is our optimal estimate. I am counting on that we will have an average attendance of seven to eight thousand viewers compared to the current three to three and a half thousand. Namely, our new football arena will be a place for socializing, with catering and cultural options, and other amenities where viewers can come before the game and will not rush to leave at the end of the match. Building a stadium of 20,000 seats for two or three European games a year wouldn’t make sense. I think 12,000 is quite enough regarding a better atmosphere at the stadium and fans, which would come out in bigger numbers.”
