Zdravko Mamić Arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina

June 14, 2018 – Zdravko Mamić has been arrested by police in Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH portal Žurnal.info reported.

Mamić was arrested in the area of Medjugorje, according to Žurnal.info, Index.hr reported on June 14, 2018. 

The Osijek County Court, which sentenced Mamić to six and a half years in prison, issued a domestic and international arrest warrant and a special warrant for his arrest on European Union territory. 

To remind you, Mamić fled to Medjugorje the day before the verdict was issued. Mamić also possesses BiH citizenship.

According to the legal procedure, Mamić will be taken to the Court of BiH, where the extradition judge should determine which documents he owns. If he holds valid documents for BiH citizenship, Mamić will not be extradited to Croatia in accordance with legal regulations.
