Dalmatia’s Booming Airports: Split up 57% in March, Dubrovnik 40%

Total Croatia News

Updated on:

Already projected to be a record season, the Dalamtian main airports of Split and Dubrovnik have got off to a flying start, reports ExYuAviation on April 4, 2018.

I can only imagine what this summer will be like at Split Airport…

Huge growth in passenger numbers for the first quarter of 2018, particularly in March, a month which saw the airports of Split and Dubrovnik increase their passenger numbers by 57% and 40% respectively over the corresponding period last year.

More details on the monthly breakdowns for 2018 so far with ExYuAviation, which reports that Split is due to handle three million passengers this year.

With the new airport terminal in Split not due to be completed until July 2019 (click here for our last progress report a couple of months ago), I predict a peak season sweaty summer at Dalmatia’s main airport.
