Horse-Driven Carriages Arrive in Marian Shrine of Marija Bistrica for Pilgrimage

Addressing the event, Agriculture Minister Marija Vučković, promised further help to the horse-breeding sector.

The agriculture ministry’s state secretary, Zdravko Tušek, said that currently, there are over 30,000 horses in Croatia, and 700 of them are in Krapina-Zagorje County, where there are also over 300 horse breeders.

The county’s prefect, Željko Kolar, said that “Vozočašće” pilgrimage contributes to ” the local culture, tradition, and tourism.”

 In attendance at the event was a former president, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.
