With the arrival of the first guests expected in mid-June, another season begins on the island of Obonjan – a unique tourist product on the Adriatic.
Known as “a unique destination for short escapes and longer breaks,” Obonjan island became the “it” destination last summer – hosting a two-month-long festival retreat complete with DJs, yoga, clean eating, and active sports, reports HRTurizam on May 31, 2017.
This summer looks like it’s going to be even bigger than last.
For starters, the number of accommodation units on Obonjan has increased to around 800 beds. A multimedia center has been developed to provide thematic lectures, seminars, cultural events and various projections, and a new gastronomic offer and sports facilities are also being implemented.
The current sales results show that a very successful tourist season is ahead of us, during which the island, as well as the town of Šibenik, will be visited by an incredibly large number of visitors from all over the world. Reservations have already been made from over 40 countries that are led by guests from the UK, Sweden, the United States, Benelux, Germany, Austria, and Italy.
“According to current indicators, this season should be more than successful than last. The present state of reservations shows that the island is the ideal destination for visitors from all over the world, as well as international corporations that find Obonjan as an ideal location for team building and corporate events,” emphasized the Obonjan organization, who added that from the end of May to late September and early October, several renowned companies from Sweden, Great Britain, Israel, Slovenia, and Croatia have announced their arrival to the island.
It is particularly interesting, however not surprising, that the island will be visited by a large number of international companies in both the pre and post season. Obonjan, while it is the picturesque destination for a holiday, has many natural and infrastructural advantages for large enterprises.
A unexpected success story of business tourism, what company wouldn’t want to come to the island this season to enjoy a generous offering of tailor-made programs based on wellbeing, world-renowned musicians, thematic workshops, cultural events, yoga and meditation seminars, and extensive gastronomic offerings?
