Uber is available in Istria from today!
Uber is officially available throughout the Adriatic coast and has extended their offer to Istria! After even seven cities with five different services, citizens and tourists in Pula, Poreč, Rovinj and Umag will be able to use the UberX service as a safe, reliable and price-sensitive transport option.
Uber spent the last tourist season transporting 115,000 tourists on the coast – and 91 percent of users already had the application installed, which is a clear indication that tourists are expected to use Uber as an integral part of the tourist offer when they come to Croatia.
“Uber has been present in Croatia for nearly three years and all the data shows that the application significantly contributes to Croatian tourism. Given that Istria is a very important tourist region, I am extremely pleased to have linked another part of Croatia with Uber. Now, locals and tourists in Istria will be able to use our services. We invite all Istrians to use two free rides until the end of the week,” said Davor Tremac, Uber’s General Director of Southeast Europe.
In order to take advantage of the free rides, a special promo code ‘ciaoistra’ will be required under the “payment” option in the Uber application, which will grant users two free rides in the Istria area for up to 35 kuna until Sunday, July 8th.
