Good news for everyone who’s tired of waiting for a taxi in Rijeka: starting today, the biggest city on Kvarner is joining the growing Uber network in Croatia!
As of today, August 17th 2017, Rijeka joins the rapidly expanding list of Croatian cities where you can use the popular car service Uber.
Apart from the Croatian capital of Zagreb, Uber has been operating in Dalmatia throughout the summer – in Šibenik, Zadar, Novalja and Dubrovnik.
In order to properly introduce themselves to new customers in Rijeka, Uber kicks off with a fantastic offer for everyone who wants to try out the service this weekend: from today at 10:00 to Sunday, August 20th at 23:29, all existing and new users of Uber can get a free ride in the amount of 20 kuna or less. The only thing you need to do is to download the free Uber app and type in the promo code CIAORIJEKA in the ‘Payment’ section, then order a ride.
How does it work?
If you haven’t used Uber in other cities before, download the Uber app at uber.com/app.
Type in your desired destination.
Order a vehicle and enjoy the ride – it’s as simple as that!
There are two price categories for Uber in Rijeka. One applies to rides starting inside the limits of the city zone that you can see on the image below, marked red:
The UberX service will cost you 6 kuna for the start, 3 kuna per kilometre and 0.4 kuna per minute. The minimal price is set at 10 kuna.
The other price category applies to rides starting outside the city zone. In that case, the start will cost you 9 kuna, followed by 5 kuna per kilometre and 0.5 kuna per minute. The minimal price for such rides is 15 kuna.
