June the 5th, 2025 – The Zagreb University of Applied Sciences has been exhibiting at the international CWIEME fair in Berlin.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences has been presenting itself at the leading international engineering fair CWIEME in Berlin, held from the 3rd to the 5th of June.
This German fair presents very high quality products and services from over 550 suppliers from the electrical engineering industry. It is also a very significant indicator of the development trends of the global economy. 6,600 visiting engineers and professionals have registered, including Croatian professionals led by a team from the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences. The aforementioned Croatian university has been presenting its various study and research programmes, as well as participating in the exchange of knowledge and experience. It will also work to establish connections with international partners from across both this industry and higher education.
The Head of the Electrical Engineering Department of the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences, Dr. Stjepan Tvorić, will present an innovative product which drives engineering. It also works to influence the development of the careers of electrical engineers in Croatia. A conference was held as part of the CWIEME fair, where the university’s Vice Dean for Science, Projects and External Cooperation, Associate Professor Lidija Tepeš Golubić, participated on the panel. The name of that panel was Innovation through Diversity – How Women Shape the Future of Engineering.
The importance of the participation of Croatian representatives at the fair needs no further explanation. This Zagreb university being there will work to create new opportunities for the development of Croatian engineering as a whole. The level of significance was also confirmed by the official confirmation of the arrival of the Croatian Ambassador to Germany, Gordan Bakota, at the Croatian stand in Berlin. The visit was also graced by the Deputy Mayor of Berlin, Franziska Giffey.
It should be noted that the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences has also entered into an official media partnership with this leading world fair for the ICPGEEC 2025 (1st International Colloquium on Power Generation and Electromechanical Energy Conversion). Further spotlighting Croatia, it will be held in Dubrovnik in October this year.
