Senjanović, Kuč, 2015

Price: around 35 Kuna in the cellar

Probably most known by the Plavac Tiha Braća from the Tihobraća valley on Vis, Senjanović makes Kuč from the 2015 harvest. A white sort also known as Trbljan is today considered indigenous to Dalmatia. It is not characteristic of Vis like Vugava is, but as I don’t dwell into ampelography, I leave it to Clemens to determine the uniqueness.

At first it feels infantile on the nose, but soon the doubt, a hint of something non-fruity appears.

While salt enters the left nostril, stone enters the right.

A tonic that appears on the palate. Still, no depth.

But, very well tailored wine from purchased material from selected Vis locations – Brgujac and Medvijok.

Quick, refreshing, wide, very drinkable (12.5%)… creates associations to a good Rukatac or Kujundžuša I remember, as well as a Trebbiano but not from our regions.

Price suited for wine that is not for sipping but rather abundant rinsing of meals of not only Vis cuisine.
