June 7, 2023 – In 2023, the Decanter World Wine Awards celebrates 20 years of influential wine excellence. Croatian wines won 358 medals as the newest results are published on the official Decanter site.

Over two weeks, 236 international wine experts were awarded
37 Best in Show medals,
89 platinum,
453 gold,
3,529 silver, and
4,768 bronze medals.
Croatia again shone at the 20th Decanter World Wine Awards in London this year among 18,250 wines evaluated from 57 countries.
As the results showed, Croatia has won record-breaking 25 gold medals, dominating in white wines.
Apart from Malvasia Istriana, winemakers from Istria and Kvarner wine region shined with the indigenous red grape variety – Teran – and won eight gold medals. Dalmatia wine region winemakers won the same.
Slavonia and the Danube wine region six, while winemakers from the Croatian Uplands wine region won three gold medals.
In Decanter 2023 wine competition, Croatian wines won:
25 gold,
129 silver, and
204 bronze medals.
