Star Trek’s Captain Picard on Dalmatian Wines and an Extraordinary Zagreb Salad

A wonderful find from Iva Brcic (and many thanks to Darko Blazok-Broz for forwarding) to put a smile on your faces this lovely Dalmatian Monday morning. 

A celebrity endorsement of a product always goes further than one simple blogger, as Bono proved recently with his 10-course Dalmatian special on Palmizana, washed down with a glass or three of Bire Grk, but a celebrity endorsement with humour is a rarer find. 

The scene: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. 

The date: November 17, 1994.

The guest: Actor Patrick Stewart, aka Captain Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek.

The subject: Filming in Croatia during the war, and while the mention of Dalmatian wines is the link to this website, the story is all about the Zagreb salad.
