As the general eletction approaches, some coalition signatures.
Presidents of the eight parties of the Patriotic Coalition (HDZ, HSS, HSP AS, BUZ, ZDS, HDS, HSLS and Hrast) have signed a coalition agreement for the upcoming parliamentary elections. The agreement was signed in a courtyard of a family farm in Vukovar. By selecting that location, they wanted to send the message that they will protect Croatian farmers and domestic agricultural production, but also the values of the Homeland War, reports Jutarnji List on September 21, 2015.
The president of HDZ Tomislav Karamarko said after the signing that “today’s ceremony means that we will be successful since the Patriotic Coalition has been winning in Croatia for the last three and a half years”. “This is the only option that offers prosperity in economic terms to Croatia, and in this regard we really want to make radical reforms. Is it not a shame that Croatia imports 70 percent of its food? That’s why we are starting our campaign here and saying that we will give priority to our agricultural producers, to our products on the shelves in our supermarkets and hotels during the tourist season. We have to protect our agricultural production, because in that way we will protect ourselves. Without healthy Slavonia there is no healthy Croatia. Another thing, we are here on the legendary Mitnica, where people died and where we have defended Croatia. We will remain faithful to all the fundamental values of the Homeland War. No political and ideological fogs will discourage us. We will distinguish good from evil, light from darkness”, said Karamarko and added that “the Patriotic Coalition will win in November”.
“After that, we will turn a new page in the history of the modern Croatian state in which all Croatian citizens will be able to live and work”, said Karamarko, while HSS president Branko Hrg stressed that “Croatia could hardly have a chance if the elections were to go the wrong way, but I believe they will go in the right direction”.
HSLS president Darinko Kosor stressed that the goal is to win an absolute majority. “That is the only way to make real social and economic reforms. We do not want our children to cross the borders in a similar way as we have seen in the last few days”, said Kosor.
