Slaven Belupo hopes to reach the finals of the Cup but Rijeka is in their way.
Croatian football season is at its peak; Cup semi-finals are to be played this week, with Slaven Belupo and Rijeka playing their second leg match on April 5, 2016. Rijeka has the advantage, as they won the first match 2-1. Same opponents played the league game on Saturday, and it ended with a goalless draw.
The cup is the big hope for the home team, as they are out of chances to qualify for the Europa League through the national league, and as they managed to stay unbeaten four times this season against Rijeka, they see their chance here.
Rijeka is still hoping to get both trophies, but to get there, they will need to improve their form, as they slipped once too many times this season. Kick off for today’s game is at 17.30 CET in Koprivnica. Dinamo and Hajduk play their return match tomorrow.
