Plitvice Lakes National Park is the largest national park in Croatia with 295 square meters of forest reserve and 16 terraced lakes, waterfalls, and limestone canyons. In addition to being one of the oldest parks in Southeast Europe, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register in 1979. Without saying much more, these photos should persuade you to stop (and most likely want to stay…forever).
