A true medieval experience!
The public institution Medvednica Nature Park is organizing 12th Medieval Days on Medvedinca that will take place this weekend, on September 23rd and 24th, reports Zagreb.info on September 22, 2017.
Enter a ‘real’ time machine this Saturday and Sunday from 12 P.M to 8 P.M at Medvedgrad. Medieval Days on Medvednica is an event that celebrates and revives old medieval customs and the spirit of Middle Ages. Medvedgrad’s ancient walls will be occupied by the Black Queen and her royal suite, including the noble knights and the silly court jester, while around the fort a true medieval fair will take place!
Visitors can enjoy the knight tournament, try their hand at various knight activities, participate in archery workshops, laugh at stunts and shenanigans of the juggler Trilj IV, listen to medieval music, meet the witches of Medvednica (‘medvedničke coprnice), or even try out the real medieval torture devices.
The organisers have provided minibus transport service from Šestine Church to Medvedgrad and back. However, given the limited capacity of the buses, everybody in good shape is advised to take a walk opting for a route number 12, from Šestine Church to Medvedgrad, which takes about 45 minutes.
Entrance fee: HRK 20,00 (children up to 7 years accompanied by parents – free of charge)
