HNS Director of Infrastructure Marijan Kustić announced the quick start of construction work which will see new pitches at football stadium across Croatia by the beginning of next season.
The final of the Croatian Cup between Dinamo and Hajduk will absolutely be played in Vinkovci, the Croatian Football Federation confirmed, and the main theme of yesterday’s press conference was the major renovation project for Croatian stadiums, which is ready to begin at the end of the season, reports Gol.hr on April 26, 2018.
HNS Director of Infrastructure Marijan Kustić announced that HNS would quickly begin construction works and that new football pitches would be ready by the beginning of next season. The pitches will be renovated in six stadiums: two in Zagreb, and one in Zaprešić, Pula, Koprivnica and Vinkovci.
“It’s an investment of about 30 to 32 million kuna, so it’s one of the biggest if not the largest project of the Croatian Football Federation,” said Kustić.
The money for the stadium overhaul will come from UEFA – which was initially intended for an unbuilt camp included in this project. You might have noticed, though, that some clubs are not included in the pitch renovation project? As Osijek and Rijeka have plans of their own, Hajduk continues to refuse cooperation with HNS.
“I hope that in the near future we will work with the other first-league clubs, that all first-league clubs sign up who are not in the current six included, and I hope that Hajduk will also respond to our call.”
However, not even Kustić’s power at HNS can arouse a response in Split. Furthermore, Torcida does not shy away from calling Mamić, Kustić, Herak, and Misković explicit names during Hajduk games.
But has Ivan Herak left HNS in the meantime, not even two months after his disagreement with Davor Šuker?
“It was an initiative from his side, for the sake of his obligations and for the work offer he received for another job, that he simply could not do the other job in parallel and came up with a proposal to end the agreement,” said Kustić.
Does this have anything to do with the possible quarrel with Mr. Šuker?
“No … no … no, you can ask him, but it does not matter.”
However, Herak was not available on mobile yesterday. There is still no end in sight to the top of the HNS order.
