Croatia’s most popular brothers, Martin and Valent Sinković, are in the semifinal of the Rowing World Cup, which is held from July 13-15 in Lucerne, Switzerland.
After winning in their group in the morning qualifiers, the world’s best rowers were the fastest in the quarterfinals, beating the time of their first appearance by more than four seconds. The Sinković brothers won with a score of 6:33.470 minutes, ahead of the New Zealand duo (6:37.190) Spanish crew (6: 40.640), who also placed in Saturday’s semifinal, reports HRT on July 13, 2018.
In the same quarterfinal group, another Croatian duo participated in the competition, and Ivan Piton and Karlo Udovičić won fifth place (6:44.080) in the C or D finals.
Apart from the Sinković brothers, Luka Radonić will also compete in the semifinal of the competition on Sunday in the lightweight singles category. Radonić placed in the semifinals with a convincing victory in his qualifying group (7:10.920).
The lightweight singles semifinals are scheduled for Saturday morning, while the Sinković brothers will compete at 13.15.
