Easter Masses and Ceremonies at Cathedral of Saint Domnius

The program for the church masses and ceremonies at the Cathedral of Saint Domnius as reported by Dalmacija Danas on April 13, 2017.

On Holy Thursday, April 13th, the Split-Makarska Archbishop Marin Barišić lead the Cathedral of Saint Domnius in Split with a 10:00 mass devoted to blessing the sick. An evening mass at 19:00 began the Easter Triduum with the ritual of the washing of the feet.

On Good Friday, April 14th, Archbishop Barišić will lead the solemn service of the Passion of the Lord and all the rites of Good Friday at 19:00. Upon completion, there will be a solemn procession and a blessing of the city of Split.

Archbishop Barišić will lead the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, April 15th at 21:00 with the blessing of the food.

On Sunday, April 16th, the Lord’s Resurrection, Archbishop Barišić will lead the solemn liturgy at 10:00 with an Easter blessing. Masses will be held at in 8:00 and 19:00.

Traditionally on Easter afternoon, Archbishop Barišić will celebrate the Eucharist at the Split jail.
