Hvar Wine Association Comes to Stari Grad: Don’t Miss Skor on Tuesday

Total Croatia News

Another quality evening of Dalmatia at its finest, as the Hvar Wine Association moves to Stari Grad.

THIS EVENT HAS UNFORTUNATELY POSTPONED and will now take place on August 9 and 12 in Stari Grad. The next tasting will be in Vrbanj on the main square on August 3.

The Hvar Wine Assocation tastings have always been popular on the island – a chance to get to know the island’s finest wines against a pretty backdrop of picturesque Dalmatian squares and great live music – but this year these events have been even better.

The opening event in Vrboska took everyone by surprise with the number of people who attended, while the Bogdanusa Evening in Svirce was another unqualified success, and this is an event which has become part of the established tourist calendar.

Stari Grad is the place to be this Tuesday, as Hvar’s winemakers return to the square where their last event heralded the arrival of Croatia into the European Union on June 30, 2013. In many ways Skor has become the favourite location for these events, with its great ambience in the little compact square.

It all kicks off at 21:00, with the usual suspects – Caric, Tomic, PZ Svirce, Zlatan Otok and Ivo Dubokovic represented – with live music from Split band Repassage. Check out last year’s event in the video below.
