In Konavle today?
As DuList reports on the 15th of September, 2017, This year, Agroturizam (Agritourism) Konavle will organise a manifestation of traditional grape harvesting called ”Trganje 2017”, which will be held today in the complex of the Franciscan monastery of Saint Blaise (Sveti Vlaho) in Pridvorje. Famous for its wines and the perfect grape growing climate of the Konavle valley, this activity is sure to please.
From 14:00 until 15:00, the grape harvest is planned in the monastery vineyard, from 15:00 to 16:00 the grapes will be processed in a traditional way in the cloister of the monastery, and from 16:00 to 18:00, lunch for all visitors and a live entertainment program music and folklore performances traditional to Croatia’s beautiful southernmost region will be on offer.
Konavle is one of the gems of the wider Dubrovnik area, and when an escape from the infamous crowds of the City of Dubrovnik is needed, Konavle is the perfect escape. Flanked by rolling hills to one side and the sparkling Adriatic sea to the other, the tiny stone houses dotted in and around the Konavle valley make it feel like a step back in time.
