The filming of the Hollywood hit made Vis the center of attention this summer.
At the closing of our Croatia summer, the island of Vis transformed into a Hollywood film set as the shooting of the feature film ‘Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!’ took place. Envisioned as a sequel to ‘Mamma Mia!’ which was released in 2008, the filming was held on the island for nearly a month, reports Dalmatinski Portal on December 21, 2017.
Hollywood stars including Pierce Brosnan, Meryl Streep, Andy Garcia, Amanda Seyfried and Colin Firth all frolicked on the island this summer for what is the largest film production in the history of Croatia.
During their time on the Croatian coast, we saw Pierce Brosnan and wife Keely Shaye Smith dine at local Dalmatian restaurants, and Andy Garcia even made the trip to Split to catch Hajduk play Inter Zaprešić.
But today, we finally get a taste of what these famous actors worked so hard towards as the first trailer for the highly anticipated film has been released on December 21, 2017.
The film is due out in the summer of 2018, and the trailer, though released only 10 hours ago, has already seen 1.5 million views, 25k Facebook likes, and 19k shares!
Talk about serious promotion for our beloved Croatian island.
