A New Seaplane Arrives in Split, and a Live ECA Webcam for Lastovo

The end of a very long journey for one seaplane from California to Split, and a bonus for webcam lovers of Lastovo. 

A significant arrival on the Dalmatian coast this afternoon, as the latest Twin Otter in the European Coastal Airlines seaplane fleet arrived in Split.

The 19-seater, which was transported from California to Zagreb via Denmark, will be joining the operational fleet in the coming days, just as ECA are set to launch an expansion of their network.  

Assuming all the final bureaucratic hurdles with the new plane can be overcome, ECA will be launching its first flight from downtown Split to Jelsa on Hvar next week.
