Before the biggest competition of the year, the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Croatia will face one of the toughest rivals in the world – Brazil.
Though international media has already speculated (and announced) something happening between the national teams of Croatia and Brazil before the World Cup in Russia this summer, today we finally have confirmation from the Croatian Football Federation that the two football giants have agreed to terms on a friendly match, set to take place ahead of the international tournament, reports HNS on March 6, 2018.
With more details to be announced this Friday, we could assume (thanks to media reports from last month) that the friendly match will be played in England, and precisely Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium? Whether this was a rumor or the truth will be squared away in just a few days.
If you recall, this is not the first time Croatia and Brazil have met in a friendly match. Back in 2005, the two teams met in Split at Poljud Stadium for a 1:1 draw.

Croatia and Brazil also have appearances against one another in the first round of the group stage of the World Cup: in 2006 in Germany, Brazil celebrated 1:0, and in 2014 in front of their supporters, Brazil won 3:1.
According to the agreement of the two national federations, more details about the upcoming duel will be announced Friday, March 9, 2018.
