Martić, Konjuh, and Čilić have all reached the fourth round of Wimbledon.

Croatian tennis player Petra Martić has reached the fourth round of Wimbledon thanks to a 7:6 (6), 6:1 victory over Kazakhstani Zarina Diyas. This is Martić’s second Grand Slam in a row to play among the top 16 as she also reached the round of 16 at Roland Garros, reports Index.hr on July 8, 2017.

In her career, the 26-year-old Croat from Split has so far only played twice in the round of 16 of a Grand Slam, and both times at Roland Garros (2012, 2017). At Wimbledon, her best result was in 2013 when she advanced to the third round.

The meeting between Martić and Diyas showcased two players coming off of heavy injuries, and ahead of Wimbledon, Martić was ranked 135th in the world and Dijas 130th.

In the fourth round, Martić will play against Magdalena Rybarikova from Slovakia who defeated Lesya Tsurenko from Ukraine 6:2, 6:1.

In other news regarding our Croatian players in the fourth round of Wimbledon, Ana Konjuh will play against American Venus Williams, while Marin Čilić will face his rival, Spaniard Roberto Bautista.

The fourth round matches will be played on Monday, July 10th.
