President of the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) Davor Šuker has sent an official invitation to the new President of UEFA, Aleksander Čeferin, for a visit to Zagreb.
HNS announces that Aleksander Čeferin, the new UEFA President, has accepted Šuker’s invitation and will visit Croatia in late December. With Croatia as one of the top destinations on Čeferin’s tour, the upcoming visit by the leading man of the European Football Association is a great recognition and honor for HNS.
The UEFA President will also be received by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
Šuker and Čeferin have worked closely together for years in the framework of joint actions of associations throughout the region, with Šuker being the first to support the Slovenian official in the race for the President of UEFA.
Now the two will have the opportunity to work together in the framework of the UEFA Executive Committee in which Šuker has been a member since March 2015.
Šuker and the leadership of HNS will hold talks with President Čeferin about current developments in European football and the support of UEFA for major development projects within HNS. The Croatian Football Federation is confident in understanding the new president of UEFA for the challenges of small and medium alliances, especially in light of the reorganization of the club competition, with part of the discussion devoted to these topics.
