President of the Croatian Football Federation Davor Šuker and Croatia coach Zlatko Dalić met in Novi Vinodolski to speak about their past and future cooperation, HNS reported on their website on August 9, 2018.
President Šuker and Dalić discussed the World Cup in Russia where the national team won the silver medal, as well as all other aspects of their previous cooperation that began last October. Dalić and Šuker spoke openly and constructively about all the issues and agreed on all the important topics.
“It was nice to remember all of the beautiful moments of the World Cup with Zlatko, and the silver medal is proof that everyone involved in that story has done a top job. I’m glad that we talked openly about what could be better in the future and that we will go into new victories together,” said HNS President Davor Šuker.
“It was important for me to speak openly to the President about all the issues and to thank Davor for understanding what I did not consider correct. I think we have solved all these issues and I look forward to new challenges,” Dalić added.
Conclusions of the talks between the President of the Federation and the coach of the national team will be scheduled for the next session of the HNS Executive Committee, which will make formal decisions on this topic.
On August 20th, Zlatko Dalić will announce a list of players for the two September matches – a friendly match against Portugal and a Nations League match against Spain. The HNS Executive Committee meeting will be held this week.
