Croatia’s most famous city captured in a brilliant timelapse sequence.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, a Game of Thrones filmset in more recent years, there is no end to the allure of the Croatian city known as The Pearl of the Adriatic, and its beauty has been magnicently captured by Swiss photographer Christin Necker is a 3-minute timelapse shot over 8 days, which appeared online on October 26, 2015. Necker told TCN a little about the background of the video:
“It was the first time for me in Dubrovnik. I was looking for a new timelapse project. So I resolved on my holiday to take some shots in that nice city. I shot 8 days and nights. So it was easy to find a good day to night story. I was impressed about the ships and the contrast between the old and new town. Most sequences were taken from the mountain. I made some amazing zoom effects there.
The night scene in the old town was difficult to capture. So many people were asking me what I’m doing and standing in the pictures . The biggest challenge was the hyperlapse shot around the tower and the street.”
