”WTF Dubrovnik” Festival Begins on Friday!

Lauren Simmonds

Love electronic music? Dubrovnik is the place to be on Friday!

As DuList reports on the 3rd of August, 2017, the first festival night, (the 4th of August) will feature guest appearances from Berlin’s respected Mobilee Records, which is otherwise one of the most prominent ”publishing houses” of electronic music in the whole of Europe. Dubrovnik’s much loved Lazareti Club and nearby Komarda beach are set to host Rodriguez Jr, as well as Ralf Kollmann, Kevin Over and Boy.an and Jogarde.

WTF Dubrovnik’s second evening will be traditionally held on August the 5th on top of Srdj, more precisely on the plateau of Fort Imperijal, where the well-known pioneer of electronic music Funk D’void and the star of Italian techno, Paride Saraceni, will perform.

In addition to international performers, local DJs, including Audiometric Lane, Torres and Maroje will entertain the audience. On the third and final night of the festival held on the 6th of August, the audience will be met by Luka Labura, followed by Jamie Andersen and Bonaca – a young Croat with a Swedish address. The festival, like every year so far, will close with the domestic ”Funk you” team.

Pre-sale tickets can be purchased on Thursday from 00:00 via the Entrio system, as well as in Cafe bar Micro, Cafe bar Art and Cafe bar Gusar in Mlini, just down the coast. The price of a festival ticket for all three nights is priced at 350kn, with individual one-day tickets at 150kn.

The program begins at 22:00 each evening and transport to Srdj will be organised by buses that will set off from Pile every 30 minutes from 22:00 until 03:00, the return back down to the city will be done in the same way from 04:00 until 06:00. The famous cable car, which can also be used to reach the top of Srdj is available until midnight. Access is possible at the very entrance to the festival for motorbikes, scooters etc, and it is asked that cars are parked in the car park at Bosanka so as to avoid unnecessary crowding on top of the mountain.
