I didn’t know what to think at first of the seemingly repulsive fluid unlike any wine I had tasted before. Something made me restless and I sought it out in the store. It was many years ago in Bitoraj when I first tasted Zweigelt, the very Enjingi barrique edition of some late harvest of the last century.
The 2011 Enjingi Zweigelt is very tangy on the nose. Despite the maturity of the contents, it retains a sparkly character borne by flaunting fruits. Or the other way around 🙂 When fullness is achieved, nothing pushes to re-evaluate the sensations, as nothing is amiss.
Truly a bond of freshness and stable sugar remnants that seems to connect the mature tannins, short acids and 14.1% alcohol into a synergy wholeness, drinkable as sin.
A very particular wine, not so rustic as before, but more harmonious and wonderful. After fantasy is a healthy candy of the 2011 Kutjevo harvest from one of the most significant cellars of Slavonia and Croatia.
