The ceremony in Split was a spectacular one; supporters signed the contract with Tommy company and bought the control package of Hajduk’s shares. And the money raising started with an excellent way to promote the donors
As we have written before, October 16. 2016. is to be remembered in the history of Hajduk Split. At today’s ceremony at People’s Square in Split, “Our Hajduk” community took over 24,53% of Hajduk’s shares from Tommy company.
The main city square was decorated with banners and portraits of Hajduk’s late legends, and as the weather was perfect, the venue was packed with people who came to celebrate the occasion.
Mr. Ivan Rilov, the secretary of “Our Hajduk” community gave an emotional speech, paying respect to people who started the process and promised that the battle for honesty, honor and transparency will never end. He told that the process of democratization of Hajduk is much bigger than the club, it is to be written in history as the battle for democracy itself.
Our Hajduk and the club have started the first donation activity, and all donors who donate at least 1911 HRK to the project will have their names printed on the official Hajduk’s jersey in the next season.
The former Hajduk’s Captain, Mario Pašalić recorded the promotional video for the project, which was presented on the big screen, and was welcomed by ovations of the crowd.
Split was quite an emotional place this morning, and Hajduk was once again the center of all the attention. The crowd included the youngest Hajduk supporters there are, through senior citizens who were there to witness this historical event.
