Gastro Get is a new foodie festival in Split that will take place inside Diocletian’s palace from 1 December to 31 December. The festival is organized by enthusiastic caterers and vendors who work within the walls of Diocletian’s palace.
In its first edition this year, Gastro Get is lead by Uje Oil Bar and other participating Split caterers including O’Zlata, Mazzgoon, Trattoria Bajamont, Pikulece, and Uje Wine Bar, with vendors Nered and Dnevni borovak.
Gastro Get will focus on street food, tastings, exhibitions, a deli shop, and even a party zone. The program will be divided into 5 weeks, with each week dedicated to a different theme for the festival. The first week’s theme will be fish, followed by meat, oil and vinegar, cod and champagne, and to conclude: craft beer.
For example, during the first week’s theme of “fish”, Gastro Get will host fishermen from Vis, have tastings of sardines prepared in 10 ways, offer dried fish tastings, a pop up deli shop with a rich selection of seafood, fish menus in all participating venues, a street food party, and more.
Each week will be full of events, performances, street food at affordable prices, exhibitions and entertainment, and even some shopping in the “living room” opposite Uje.
The event will last all of December, so stay tuned on the event’s Facebook page for more information and updates!
