The Tourist Board of Solin has organized a not to miss event this summer at the archaeological site in Salona!
An evening of gladiators and ancient theater titled “Romance in Salona” will be held on July 8, 2017, at 21:00 in the amphitheater area of the archaeological site Salona, reports Dalmacija Danas on June 28, 2017.
The event, which will take place in the summer months during three different terms, will revive the history of Salona with high-quality and authentic interpretations of the ancient heritage through themed evenings, showing the life of Salona in ancient times. This event contributes to the promotion of Salona and Solin, while also promoting the quality of the facilities in the area, thus directly affecting the increase in the number of visitors to the area.
“Romance in Salona” has already won the annual tourism award “Simply the Best 2013” which was held by the UHPA and travel magazine “Way to Croatia” in the category of special awards for the invention and development of tourism products.
A free tour of Salona has also been organized for visitors beginning at 19:30.
Each year, free bus transportation is organized for those interested from the Riva in Split (in front of the Jadrolinija office in the Tourist Palace) to the church Sv.Anastazija at 19:00h. Transport back to Split is provided in front of the church Sv.Anastazija at 22:30.
