It’s no secret that people of Zagreb (and Total Zagreb) love a glass of good wine and there are more and more wine-related events and wine bars you can visit (you can find some of them if you go to “Wine bars” subsection of our “Nightlife” section here).
Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to taste wines from all four wine regions of Croatia at a three-day event at Kurelčeva Street. Entrance is free, and 8-kuna vouchers will enable you to taste different wines.
Each day will be dedicated to a different wine region and will have its musical theme:
- Thursday, June 8 (4 p.m. – 11 p.m.): Continental Croatia wines, rockabilly & swing
- Friday, June 9 (12 p.m. – 12 a.m.): Istria and Dalmatia wines, jazz
- Saturday, June 10 (12 p.m. – 12 a.m.): Slavonia and Podunavlje, country & blues
No wine event is complete without snacks, so you can expect some fine delicacies as well.
The visitors will have an important task of choosing the most loved winemaker – a 50-kuna return deposit for a tasting glass will also get you a heart-shaped pendant which you can give to the winemaker who has won over your heart.
