The Croatian premiere of ”Dubrovnik, Venice, Barcelona – Dream Destinations in Danger” will be shown on the 8th of May 2017.
Cruise ships. Everyone has their opinion on them and those opinions usually drastically vary depending on whether you’re a passenger on one of them heading to a beautiful destination or whether you’re a resident of a beautiful destination preparing yourself for hoardes of people and traffic jams.
Dubrovnik has had warnings from various sources in high places about the sheer amount of traffic (both human traffic and otherwise) and the massive, negative impact it is having upon the city, particularly the Old Town which has since had to install people counting cameras at all five of its historical entrances in order to be able to properly monitor the amount of people coming in and out. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is in danger of becoming a victim of its own popularity, it seems.
Upon the invite of Ljubomir Nikolic of the citizens initiative ”Srdj Je Grad” which campaigns for the protection of Mount Srdj which towers of the City of Dubrovnik – the film ”Dubrovnik, Venice, Barcelona – Dream Destinations in Danger” will have its Croatian premiere at Lazareti at 20:00 on Monday the 8th of May 2017.
