Too close for comfort.
‘When the Opportunity Knocks on Your Window’ would have been a good caption for this interesting image posted by Dubrovnik.net on September 29, 2017, if only the name of the boat in the picture was named ‘Opportunity’, instead of ‘Providenca’.
The great thing about living by the sea is to be able to wake up every day and enjoy the wonderful view of the sea and its calming effect it often has on us, humans. But, as it happens, life by the sea can also bring surprises, such as the one pictured below, of a boat’s bow nearing very lose to the window of the nearby building.
The photo was taken on the island of Šipan, where the locals have probably grown accustomed to such situations, seeing that nobody is complaining (well, not yet).
Just look at it, the boat is literally within arm’s reach!
Another funny caption that comes to mind is ‘this boat makes a better door than window’. It’s a puzzler alright, but you’ll get it if you’re familiar with the phrase ‘to make a better door than a window’ (which means to block, obstruct someone’s view).
